nestled in the Purbeck hills, this charming new build family home was a real joy to work on.
bathed in natural light and with unique views of rolling hills, we never wanted our interior scheme to overshadow the natural context of this wonderful location.
our role was to provide an easy and relaxed palette, with honest materials that gave a gentle flow between the spaces, inside as well as outside, reinforcing the connection with the landscape.
This was always to be a hardworking family home, a beautiful backdrop for childhood adventures. we encouraged this with natural materials that were tactile, and never over worked, as well as by adopting a 5 minute tidy logic to our designs. this meant everything had its place, allowing the daily activity of real life to retreat quickly and a sense of end of day calm into each evening.
It has been wonderful to see this home brought to life as the family have moved into each space, and claimed them as their own, and it feels like our work is done.
